Job summary

WSP is seeking a senior leader to spearhead Canada’s nuclear division from our Toronto office, guiding a multidisciplinary engineering team and shaping the ERI nuclear portfolio. The role requires deep technical expertise, strategic planning, and a strong safety and quality culture.

You will report to the Vice President of Nuclear, lead design interfaces, ensure project delivery, and coordinate with procurement, construction, and vendors across multiple sites including Ontario and New Brunswick.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering or related field.
• Minimum 20 years of experience in nuclear operations, with at least 7 years in a senior leadership role.
• Professional Engineer (P.Eng) designation or equivalent in your province of residence.
• Experience interfacing with Licensing, Safety Analysis, Civil / Structural, and Electrical/I&C.
• Strong problem-solving abilities, communication skills, and commitment to safety and quality.
• Strategic planning knowledge including nuclear systems, safety protocols, and regulatory requirements.
• Knowledge of nuclear codes and standards, safety culture, design guidelines, and security regulations.
• Experience working within CSA N286 and CSA N299 quality systems.

Responsibilities

• Lead and manage a multi-discipline engineering team across projects.
• Provide technical guidance and be accountable for team output.
• Develop and implement strategic plans for nuclear services.
• Own processes, policies, and procedures for nuclear engineering, quality, and training.
• Lead design interface between NSP and BOP for the nuclear plant.
• Ensure deliverables meet budget, schedule, quality, and tech requirements.
• Manage training programs and promote a nuclear safety culture.
• Own the quality program across Canada with global integration.
• Interface with stakeholders to ensure constructable, operable designs.
• Manage joint pursuits and capability assessments with HR.
• Collaborate with other departments to integrate nuclear services.
