Job summary

Cambridgeshire and Peterborough NHS Foundation Trust is seeking a Consultant Psychiatrist to lead CAMHS (North) across community pathways, providing expert assessment, formulation and treatment for children and young people with diverse mental health needs.

The post holder will work within a multidisciplinary team, collaborate with partner services, support safeguarding, and contribute to clinical governance, training and transformation work within the CYPF Directorate.

Responsibilities

• Clinical leadership across North and/or Central CAMHS with high-quality assessment, decision-making and safe psychiatric management.
• Lead on multidisciplinary collaboration for case formulations, risk planning and care pathways.
• Interface with partner services including home treatment, crisis, inpatient, primary care and education.
• Provide consultation to multi-agency colleagues and lead safeguarding activities in line with best practices.
• Opportunity for leadership of neurodevelopmental assessment pathways within CAMHS.
• Contribute to daytime duty rota and consultant on-call arrangements for urgent assessments and advice.
