Job summary

Alexion Pharmaceuticals, Inc. in Mississauga, Ontario seeks a Non-Clinical Manager to lead preclinical studies and collaborate with global teams, CRO partners, and regulatory affairs.

You will oversee study design, implementation, and reporting across pharmacokinetics, toxicology, and safety pharmacology. The successful candidate will bring deep scientific knowledge, strong project management, and excellent communication skills to ensure timely, compliant studies within budget.

Qualifications

• PharmD, VetD, or master’s in biology/toxicology; or BA/BS with relevant experience.
• 3–5 years of toxicology study director/monitor experience in pharma/biotech/CRO.
• GLP fundamentals and data interpretation of nonclinical studies.

Responsibilities

• Select partners for studies based on expertise, quality, cost, and time.
• Liaise with CROs for contracts, invoices, study setup, monitoring, and reporting.
• Identify and resolve scientific, technical, logistical, or quality issues.
• Ensure studies meet regulatory and quality requirements.
• Review and interpret data; coordinate report review with high quality standards.
• Summarize results to project teams and management.
• Coordinate activities with finance, CMC, bioanalysis, regulatory, etc.
• Monitor developments in your field of expertise.
