Gtrworldwide is seeking Nurse Practitioners to provide advanced primary and acute care across health care settings in Canada. You will perform comprehensive assessments, diagnoses, and treatment planning in collaboration with interdisciplinary teams.

Responsibilities include managing care across primary, urgent, and specialty clinics, prescribing medications within scope, and ensuring continuity of care with thorough documentation and quality improvement involvement.

Qualifications

  • Must have completed an accredited Graduate Nurse Practitioner program or equivalent advanced nursing education.
  • Current registration or licensure as a Nurse Practitioner with the appropriate provincial or territorial regulatory authority.
  • Authorization to prescribe medications and order diagnostic tests within jurisdiction.
  • Minimum of 2 years of recent clinical nursing experience; primary care or relevant specialty preferred.
  • BLS or equivalent certification and willingness to maintain clinical certifications.
  • Clear criminal record and ability to meet regulatory and credentialing checks.

Job Summary

Main Duties
  • Perform advanced health assessments and clinical examinations to diagnose acute and chronic conditions.
  • Develop, implement, and evaluate individualized treatment and care plans, including prescribing medications and ordering diagnostic tests within scope of practice.
  • Manage patient care across settings, including primary care, urgent care, and specialty clinics, and provide follow-up and continuity of care.
  • Collaborate with physicians, nurses, and allied health professionals to coordinate multidisciplinary care and referrals.
  • Provide patient and family education, health promotion, and disease prevention advice tailored to patient needs.
  • Maintain accurate clinical documentation, adhere to professional standards, and participate in quality improvement and clinical governance activities.
Requirements
  • Completion of an accredited graduate nurse practitioner program or equivalent advanced nursing education.
  • Current registration or licensure as a nurse practitioner with the appropriate provincial or territorial regulatory authority.
  • Authorization to prescribe medications and order diagnostic tests within the jurisdictional scope of practice.
  • Minimum of 2 years of recent clinical nursing experience, with preference for primary care or relevant specialty experience.
  • Current Basic Life Support (BLS) or equivalent certification and willingness to maintain required clinical certifications.
  • Clear criminal record and ability to meet employer-required regulatory and credentialing checks.
