BGC Okanagan is hiring a Nobodys Perfect Parenting Facilitator for the South Okanagan. This part-time, term position runs annually for an 8-week session, concluding in December 2025.

Key Duties and Responsibilities
  • Conducts group sessions such as workshops and courses to support skill acquisition and build on current skills in the area of parenting.
  • Recruits and selects participants for the program based on their skills and needs
  • Plans group sessions in accordance with the program manual or guidelines and the participants skills and needs. Prepares for group sessions by reviewing program manuals and other related materials.
  • Sets up workshop space and child care space prior to session start date.
  • Promotes the program by performing duties such as distributing brochures and posters in the community and making presentations to community organizations.
  • Ensures that the necessary facilities, equipment and materials are available for the sessions.
  • Conducts evaluation and obtains client feedback on group effectiveness, materials presented and facilitation style. Reports any difficulties to the supervisor.
  • Maintains contact with clients between session to provide follow up support if necessary such as reviewing course materials and clients needs.
  • Maintains related records and reports in accordance with established policies and procedures.
Qualifications
  • Certificate in related human / social service field and / or one-year related experience.
  • Trained in Nobodys Perfect Parenting Facilitation, or willing to attend training.
  • First Aid Certificate and Food Safe an asset or willingness to obtain
  • Must be at least 19 years of age as per Provincial Licensing Regulations
  • Successful completion of Agency screening process, including criminal record check

This position requires Union membership

Hours : Schedule varies throughout the year based on need of the program, session runs for 8 weeks, 1 day per week, once a year.

Rate of Pay : $25.55 per hour
