Job description

Do you want to be a part of a team that promotes and improves the health of its people and community?

Are you a Registered Clinical Nurse looking for your next challenge and a change in your routine? Hospital in the Home may be the opportunity you are looking for.

Your expertise is needed in our dynamic and multidisciplinary team that provides care outside of the hospital wards and into patients’ own homes. Help us provide better outcomes for our community while doing something different.

We have multiple vacancies for Registered Nurses and Clinical Nurses for Permanent and Fixed Term appointments. Full-Time and Part-Time hours are available, and Fixed-Term appointments will include the possibility of extension(s) and/or permanency.

Australian visa sponsorship is not available.

Applications will be assessed approximately every 2 weeks, and suitable applicants may be appointed any time before 30 June 2026.

What is our Hospital in the Home (HITH) Service?

HITH at Sir Charles Gairdner Hospital (SCGH) is an extension of our pioneering Home Link service and provides patients with an alternative to an in-hospital stay while still receiving acute inpatient care in the comfort of their own home from a multidisciplinary team of health professionals.

The HITH service provides the same highly skilled staff, hospital technologies, equipment, medication, and safety and quality standards a patient would expect in hospital. Our patients are visited at home by the team each day and may be seen by nurses up to twice daily if required, until they are discharged. For more information about HITH @SCGH: Sir Charles Gairdner Hospital - Hospital in the Home.

Our nurses provide treatments such as intravenous antibiotics, wound management, clinical assessment, heart failure management and more. We value nurses who are enthusiastic, highly resourceful, have strong time management, and problem-solving skills. In this role, you will be supported to use your excellent clinical assessment and communication skills to provide care to patients in both our hospital clinic and in the patients’ home.

Whilst you will be working autonomously providing one-to-one care to our valued patients, you will never be alone. Guidance and support will be immediately accessible throughout your working day.

Benefits
  • No night duty
  • Flexible, request-driven rostering
  • A variety of roles within the service
  • 7 day a week service with attractive penalty rates for after-hours and weekends
  • Qualification allowance for approved relevant courses.
What We Offer
  • Stable employment with professional and career development opportunities
  • Generous salary packaging to increase take-home pay
  • Diverse and inclusive culture
