The Theta Industries facility in Barrie, Ontario, is seeking a full-time metalworking operator for straight night shifts with a shift premium. The role involves operating and maintaining metalworking machinery, material handling, and adhering to safety and quality procedures.

Ideal candidates have a minimum grade 12 education, manufacturing experience, and familiarity with quality systems (TS 16949 preferred). Training is provided, and benefits are available on a full-time basis.

Qualifications

Minimum grade 12 or equivalent.
Previous manufacturing experience.
Experience with quality systems (TS 16949 preferred).

Responsibilities

Operate one or more light or heavy metalworking machines.
May assist or perform set-up.
Ensure safe work practices are employed at all times.
Follow written procedures, verbal instructions and complete documentation as required.
Monitor production to ensure product quality meets required specifications.
May be required to perform material handling duties manually, via crane, hoist or lift truck.
Lubricate, clean, maintain and repair machinery, equipment, and tools as required.
Clean up and preparation of work area.
Follow Company policies, best practices and procedures.
Perform other duties as required by the department supervisor.

Operate metalworking machines which shape and form sheet metal into parts or products. Will be required to perform a variety of tasks involving physical labour in a manufacturing environment including operation and maintenance of machine tools and perform material handling, packaging, clean-up and other activities. Responsible for the efficient production of products according to established procedures in a safe manner following all workplace policies. Need to be adaptable, flexible, accountable and dependable with good attention to detail, have a quality focus and work well with others.
