Our Place Society in Victoria is seeking a Housing / Shelter Support Worker to engage residents, provide one-on-one counselling, and help deliver life skills and harm reduction support within our shelter programs.

You will participate in intake, develop short-term intervention plans, coordinate with the team, respond to medical emergencies, and maintain safety and cleanliness while upholding OPS policies.

Qualifications

• Diploma in a related human/social service field.
• Minimum of one year recent related experience.

Responsabilités

• Engage residents and conduct individual counselling sessions.
• Develop and implement short-term intervention plans within program guidelines.
• Assist with intake, referrals, and coordination with partner agencies.
• Maintain case records and documentation; provide progress reports to supervisors.
• Respond to medical emergencies including overdoses and provide first aid.
• Support with daily shelter operations, safety, and cleanliness.
• Liaise with external providers and participate in cross-agency groups as required.
