Job summary

Responsibilities

  • Provide direct care to patients in the SMHC.
  • Assist patients with activities of daily living (ADLs).
  • Support patient independence and goal acquisition.
  • Adhere to standards of care policies and procedures.

Skills

Effective oral and written communication skills
Effective command of the English language
Knowledge of Personal Health Information Act (PHIA)
Knowledge of Workplace Hazardous Material Information System (WHMIS)
Ability to prioritize care

Education

Minimum Grade 10
Completion of recognized Health Care Aide course
