A local family-owned care provider in Coquitlam seeks a dedicated Registered Nurse to join their team at The Madison Care Centre. The role involves conducting resident assessments, administering care, and working with a friendly team on a temporary night shift rotation. The ideal candidate will be registered with BCCNM and have competency in electronic documentation. This position offers a supportive work environment and adherence to BCNU wage and benefits.

Qualifications

  • Registered and in good standing with BCCNM.
  • Current CPR/First Aid Certificate required.
  • Competent in electronic documentation and EMar.
  • Fluent in English both verbal and written.
  • Critical thinking and decision-making skills needed.
  • Previous experience in Long Term Care preferred.
  • Proof of Vaccination required.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct resident admissions, discharges and transfers.
  • Perform resident assessments and care planning.
  • Administer medications, treatments and wound care.
  • Delegate tasks to unregulated care providers.
  • Participate in Care Conferences and Medication reviews.

Overview

The Care Group (“TCG”) offers high quality residential care and senior living across our eight homes in the Lower Mainland and Vancouver Island. Based in Coquitlam, we are a local family owned and operated care provider.

The Opportunity

We are looking for dedicated and conscientiousRegistered Nurse to join our friendly team at The Madison Care Center.

What does a Registered Nurse do?
  • Resident admissions, discharges and transfers
  • Resident assessments and care planning
  • Administration of medications, treatments and wound care
  • Proficient with electronic documentation (PointClickCare) and MDS Assessments
  • Liaises with physicians, families and other
  • Delegates tasks to unregulated care providers
  • Charge Nurse responsibilities: participates in Care Conferences and Medication reviews.
Shifts

Shifts: Temporary - Three (3) on three (3) off rotation at 11:00 p.m. to 7:00 a.m.

Wage and benefits

About us

The Madison Care Centre is centrally located steps from Como Lake in Coquitlam. The Madison Care Centre offers licensed and funded residential care to 137 clients, in which 96 of these beds are funded through the Fraser Health Authority. The Madison's room types include primarily single and double rooms. The building was beautifully constructed and opened in 2008. The Madison Care Centre works in collaboration with the Fraser Health Authority to offer funded beds, but we also have private pay rooms available.
