Job summary

MBW Courier Inc, part of the Municipal Group of Companies, is seeking a Class 1 Night Driver to join our Sydney, NS team. Under the Terminal Manager, you will ensure freight loading, delivery and pickups meet guidelines and policies, while maintaining safety and neat equipment.

Key duties include pre/post-trip inspections, logging Hours of Service, route mapping, and delivering customer shipments with professional service. A comprehensive benefits package and advancement training are offered.

• Reliable and strong work ethic.
• Ability to work independently and make responsible decisions.
• Must have good listening and verbal communication skills.
• Valid Class 1 Driver’s License required.
• Clear criminal record check.

Responsibilities

• Perform Daily Pre-Trip and Post Trip Inspections on Tractor & Trailer.
• Complete Hours of Service.
• Follow all applicable traffic laws.
• Keep truck and equipment clean and in good working order.
• Load & unload freight using various mechanisms and delivery aids (e.g., pallet jacks).
• Use technology to map routes, deliver/pickup/track shipments & communicate.
