Job summary

Providence Health Care's St. Paul’s Hospital Pregnancy, Birthing and Newborn Centre seeks a Staff Nurse to provide maternity care, from prenatal to post-birth supports, in a culturally safe setting.

Reporting to the Patient Care Manager, you will assess, plan, implement and evaluate nursing care; develop and revise care plans; incorporate teaching and referrals; and support other nurses in a collaborative team.

Qualifications

• Current practicing registration as a Registered Nurse with BC College of Nurses and Midwives.
• Two years' NICU experience or Neonatal Nursing Specialty certificate.
• Current neonatal resuscitation certification.

Responsibilities

• Assess, plan, implement and evaluate nursing care for patients using established nursing practice.
• Develop, implement, evaluate and revise the plan of care.
• Incorporate teaching into care plans and make referrals to resources.
• Support other nurses and health care professionals in a collaborative team.
