Position Title : Part-Time Professor, Police Foundations – Fitness Courses
Status : Part-time teaching contract (1-6 hrs / week)
Faculty / Department : Faculty of Social and Community Services

Knowledge of learning pedagogy, learning design techniques, educational technology and authentic assessment are required for curriculum development. This individual will create innovative designs for courses that engage students in courses and modules that support a flexible, customizable, and personalized learning experience for students.
We are accepting applications for part-time professors to participate in curriculum development and teach courses focused on Fitness within the Police Foundations program. Specifically, we are seeking expertise in preparing students to take the PREP test with varying policing agencies across the province. Education
Candidates will have a degree in education or a relevant discipline, along with a minimum of 5 years of work experience in fitness and policing.
Experience / Skills :
Preference will be given to candidates who have experience teaching at the post-secondary level and the technical ability and knowledge in instructional design, course development, learning management systems, and web-based authoring tools related to education / training. Experience applying the requirements of Ontario AODA legislation to the creation of educational materials is an asset.
Additional competencies include, but are not limited to, strong organization, communication and interpersonal skills, commitment to teaching excellence, student success and inclusive teaching practices (i.e. Universal Design for Learning).
