Job description
Job Description
What is the opportunity?

The New Hire Application Specialist plays a critical role in accelerating the success of new employees. This position is responsible for delivering engaging, high-impact virtual training focused on the core applications new hires use in their day-to-day roles. Rather than providing step-by-step technical walkthroughs, this role emphasizes practical, job-focused workflows—helping new team members understand how to use systems to drive client service, and operational efficiency. The Specialist will lead new-hire cohorts throughout the year, providing a mix of group training sessions and individual coaching sessions per new hire, ensuring personalized support and consistent onboarding outcomes.

What will you do?
  • Deliver engaging virtual group training sessions on key applications used by advisors and support teams
  • Provide 1:1 virtual coaching to help new hires build confidence and proficiency
  • Teach workflows and use cases (how to use the tools to get work done), not just system features
  • Update materials and demos as applications and processes evolve
  • Track participation, gather feedback, and recommend improvements to the onboarding experience
  • Manage training schedules in Outlook by organizing group/one-on-one sessions (with calendar invites for new hires) and sending follow-up emails with resources after each session, as required.
What do you need to succeed?

Must Have

  • Bilingualism (English and French) required, as you will regularly do business with RBC partners and/or employees across Canada with English and French speaking needs.
  • Ability to explain systems in clear, practical, business-focused terms
  • Strong communication, organization, and follow-through skills
  • In-depth knowledge of ClientLink, SalesForce, ClientSource, and ClientOnboarding (COB)
  • Experience navigating WebEx and PowerPoint.
  • Strong training and presentation skills.
  • Retail brokerage experience in a Dominion Securities branch setting
  • Demonstrates commitment to learning and professional development.
What’s in it for you?

We thrive on the challenge to be our best, progressive thinking to keep growing, and working together to deliver trusted advice to help our clients thrive and communities prosper. We care about each other, reaching our potential, making a difference to our communities, and achieving success that is mutual.

  • A comprehensive Total Rewards Program including bonuses and flexible benefits, competitive compensation, commissions, and stock where applicable
  • Leaders who support your development through coaching and managing opportunities
  • Ability to make a difference and lasting impact
  • Work in a dynamic, collaborative, progressive, and high-performing team
  • Flexible work/life balance options
  • Opportunities to do challenging work
  • Opportunities to take on progressively greater accountabilities
  • Access to a variety of job opportunities across business and geographies
