A leading electricity provider in Ontario seeks a New Grad Electrical Engineer for their Protection and Control department. The role offers a two-year program and permanent position from Day 1, focusing on developing engineering and design skills. Candidates must have a Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, good academic standing, and a valid driver's license. Passion for learning and safety are essential qualities. The two-year program offers a permanent position from Day 1, a combination of training and coaching, and the ability to rotate through several roles allowing New Grads to gain experience working on different projects and in different environments.
Transmission and Stations Engineering provides multi-disciplinary engineering and drafting services to support Hydro One’s capital work program. Transmission and Stations Engineering is split across four engineering disciplines – Stations, Protection & Control, Telecom, Transmission Lines and supported by the Engineering Enablement Team. Our team provides a full range of engineering services including feasibility studies, conceptual engineering, estimating, failure analysis, Protection, Control & Metering design, CADD Support, technical authority roles and support to our Planning, Operating and Field Organizations.
The Protection and Control team is responsible for the engineering and design of protection, control and metering schemes of electric power system and its components such as: lines, transformers, power circuit breakers, etc.
