As a key member of our New Product Development Team, you will be responsible for the direct supervision, coordination and performance of assigned engineering projects. You will ensure timely completion and accuracy of assigned tasks at all phases from the initial design stage to implementation and potentially to production launch.
Lead assigned projects with focus on scope and requirements definition, risk management, reporting, coordinating key project activities, progress tracking, change management, testing and validation coordination and budget adherence.
Ensure all project elements are completed as planned.
Prepare data and create technical and financial reports on project status including completed and outstanding work in accordance with the defined reporting structure.
Establish effective communication, cooperation, and information flow with other Engineering Groups and departments for project coordination and execution.
Provide support for the engineering release process as required.
Schedule and facilitate required project design reviews and applicable FMEA and hazard analysis.
Interpret customer specifications, technical summaries, vendor quotations and other contract documents to ensure compliance, and participate in design reviews.
Interact with vendors and customers on design related issues, and ensure where applicable documented Supplier Application Approval on new installations or applications.
Provide engineering support to Sales (bid support), Production, Quality Assurance, Customer Service Support and other departments as required.
