Job summary

Kingston Health Sciences Centre is seeking a Physician Assistant for the Neurosurgery service at the Kingston General Hospital site. The PA will provide direct patient care, assist in the operating room, and collaborate with a multidisciplinary team within the CPSO-regulated framework.

Qualifications include a BSc (PA) or equivalent, CPSO registration, and a minimum of 3 years in surgical settings, preferably neurosurgery.

Qualifications

• Must hold a BSc (PA) or equivalent degree.
• Registration with the College of Physicians and Surgeons of Ontario (CPSO) is required.
• Minimum 3 years PA experience in surgery/trauma, preferably neurosurgery.

Responsibilities

• Conduct patient histories and physical examinations; order and interpret investigations.
• Perform intraoperative assistance and minor procedures as scope permits.
• Coordinate discharge planning and patient flow with the care team.
• Provide education to patients and families and lead clinical practice discussions.
