Job summary

Oxford University Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust is seeking a Therapy team member to perform patient centred assessments and interventions with support from senior colleagues, while respecting patient choice and dignity. You will follow rehabilitative pathways, help set goals and treatment plans, and ensure documentation is accurate and timely in line with trust policy.

Responsibilities

• Consent understanding for assessments and treatments per Trust policy.
• Provide patient-centred assessments and interventions with senior support.
• Follow rehabilitative pathways set by senior therapists.
• Assist therapists to set goals and treatment plans for patients.
• Maintain accurate documentation in line with Trust policy and timely records.
• Liaise with MDT, patients and carers; refer to other agencies when transferring care.
• Provide appropriate equipment with support from senior therapists; manage equipment stocks.
• Establish and maintain effective communication with individuals and groups; present information accessibly.
• Participate in regular Therapies service meetings and liaise with other agencies during patient pathways.
• Promote the Therapy service and contribute to service development and improvements.
• Demonstrate commitment to learning and professional development via supervision and training.
