A leading pediatric healthcare provider in Ottawa seeks a Neuropsychologist to deliver neuropsychological services for children and youth with complex mental health issues. The candidate must hold a Doctoral degree in clinical neuropsychology, be registered in Ontario, and possess experience in a pediatric health-care setting. Fluency in both French and English is preferred. This role involves evaluations and consultations within a multidisciplinary team, emphasizing the importance of a supportive work environment.
Compensation Pay Range :
$64.33-$79.56
A Neuropsychologist is required to offer neuropsychological services to children and youth presenting with complex mental health issues within an Outpatient Mental Health setting. Services to be provided include comprehensive neuropsychological assessment diagnosis consultation and short-term intervention. The Psychologist will be a member of an interdisciplinary team devoted to providing specialized mental health services for children and youth presenting with a variety of mental health conditions. This individual will also provide ongoing consultation to team members professionals within the hospital families and community providers.
Vulnerable Sector Check (Essential)
Doctoral degree in Psychology with a focus in clinical neuropsychology from a CPA or APA accredited clinical psychology program (Essential)
Registration as a Psychologist in Ontario with a designated practice area in clinical neuropsychology with children and adolescents (Consideration will also be given to those under supervised practice for registration (Essential))
Experience in a paediatric health-care setting (Essential)
Demonstrated experience with the administration and interpretation of comprehensive neuropsychological assessments in a paediatric population (Essential)
Demonstrated knowledge about neurocognitive risk factors associated with various complex mental health and / or medical / surgical conditions (Essential)
Ability to work with an interdisciplinary team (Essential)
Bilingual - Fluency in both French and English (Preferred)
Supervision Experience (Preferred)
Effective March 29 2021 CHEO will conduct a more comprehensive pre-screening and evaluation process. This process may include more varied and multidimensional testing such as a written test practical exam or other assessment. All candidates who meet the essential and preferred qualifications may be tested.
Bilingualism (French / English) will be validated by a language proficiency assessment conducted by a third party provider. Candidates will be required to meet the minimum linguistic profile prior to the date of hire.
