Its lush surroundings and ideal climate, with over 2,000 hours of sunshine per year, combine to create a paradise. Indulge in wineries, golf courses, and famous sandy beaches in the summer and skiing and snowshoeing when the snow falls. Penticton is an innovative and adventurous waterfront city offering all the amenities of a larger urban centre while preserving its small-town charm and warmth. With an array of fine dining, shops, recreational facilities and local vendors and agriculturalists at its weekly farmer’s market, Penticton has it all. Come experience this incredible lifestyle for yourself!

Practice Description

Join a collegial neurology team at Penticton Regional Hospital (PRH) in Penticton in providing care for patients across Penticton and surrounding communities.

The service includes the assessment and management of a broad range of neurological conditions, with an emphasis on thorough evaluation and individualized treatment planning.

The group’s approach is patient-centered, compassionate, and collaborative, with a focus on clear communication, ongoing education, and supporting patients and families through diagnosis and treatment. This is a collegial community-based practice that offers the opportunity to provide accessible specialist care in a smaller-centre setting while serving an important regional need.

As a regional referral site for the South Okanagan, PRH offers local access to MRI, CT, EEG and EMG, along with additional specialist support within the hospital. The David E. Kampe Tower also includes a dedicated ambulatory care centre with outpatient neurology and diagnostic support services.

For clinicians interested in leadership, Interior Health offers access to NAVIG8, a two year, in house leadership development scheme, recognized by the Canadian Society of Physician Leaders.

Participation in the Interior Health regional Neurology call schedule is an expectation of this position. The successful candidate will contribute to virtual regional call coverage and provide neurological consultation and support across Interior Health sites, in accordance with the established regional service model and call schedule.

PENTICTON REGIONAL HOSPITAL

Serving 90,000 residents across the South Okanagan and Similkameen Valley, Penticton Regional Hospital (PRH) functions as a regional facility and secondary referral centre. At PRH, we prioritize innovation, providing on-site CT, MRI, and nuclear medicine technology. Our 10-bed ICU delivers vital care for the most critically ill patients. As the referral base for hematology and transfusion medicine for smaller local hospitals in Oliver and Princeton, we offer centralized services across the Okanagan Valley.

Recent expansions demonstrate our commitment to advancing care at PRH. We unveiled the David E. We also upgraded our emergency department by adding new trauma bays, treatment spaces, and consultation rooms.
