Job summary

Island Health’s Neurology division in Nanaimo seeks a Neurologist to join a team of five colleagues and help grow subspecialty services in Epilepsy, Headache or Cognitive Neurology while balancing hospital and community practice.

The successful candidate will hold Royal College certification, be eligible for licensure in BC, and contribute to medical education with UBC affiliation as part of the Island Health academic program at Nanaimo Regional General Hospital.

Qualifications

• Must be BC Royal College-certified or equivalent and eligible for College of Physicians and Surgeons of BC licensure.
• Interest in developing subspecialty Neurology services (Epilepsy, Headache or Cognitive Neurology).
• Commitment to providing community-based stroke care.

Responsibilities

• Provide inpatient and outpatient neurology care.
• Develop subspecialty services in Epilepsy, Headache, or Cognitive Neurology.
• Participate in medical education with University affiliation and academic programs.
