Summary

The Network Furniture Service Technician is responsible for workspace installations and removals. This includes moves, assembling and dissembling furniture as well as building, tearing down and reconfiguring workstations. This can be done for event and meeting room setups as well office setups. Furniture management also includes assessments, inventory and whiteboard installation. These activities also include performing disconnects and reconnects of client IT equipment.

Key Duties & Responsibilities
Technical Services
  • Manage and coordinate disconnect/reconnect requests.
  • Preform the actual disconnect reconnect of fiber optic, copper cabling etc.
  • Remove and install monitors, PC’s, switch boards etc.
  • Authenticate that the systems are operational once connected.
  • Report any anomalies found during authentication process.
  • Close service request as completed.
  • Provide support to the facility occupancy planner manager.
Furniture Management
  • Works with relevant stakeholders to ensure furniture‑related projects are completed on a timely basis.
  • Responds quickly to client requests.
  • Assembles, disassembles, moves, installs and sets up furniture, including replacement of locks.
  • Builds, dismantles and re‑configs workstations.
  • Hangs pictures, whiteboard and other items on the wall.
  • Performs inspections on furnishings.
  • Troubleshoots and completes repairs as required.
  • Responsible for meeting and event setups as required by the Client.
  • Review of furniture for disposal and waste diversion.
  • Perform other duties, as assigned.
Safety
  • Checks the technical condition of the equipment prior to disconnecting/reconnecting.
  • In the event of accident, informs immediately according to Company procedure.
  • Follows Company procedures to ensure safe environment, personal safety and safety of others.
Communication
  • Provides progress reports as required.
Knowledge & Skills
  • Hands‑on cabling, troubleshooting experience - 1‑3 yrs.
  • Experience with disconnects/reconnects of client systems and equipment.
  • Software proficiencies related to the assignment – Microsoft Excel, Work, Outlook, etc.
  • Basic comprehension assembly techniques for systems furniture.
  • Organizational and time management skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple assignments simultaneously.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Ability to follow work plans and to execute move‑related projects.
  • Ability to lift, move, set up, and install furniture and office equipment.

This is a regular, full‑time position with a salary range of $54,185‑67,732 per annum. The starting salary will be based on the successful candidate’s competencies, including but not limited to experience, education and performance related to this role.
