Job summary

Overview

Join us as a .NET/Power Platform Developer at BFL CANADA in Montreal. The role focuses on building customer‑facing portals and broker tools for 25,000+ clients, delivering end‑to‑end features across Dynamics 365, Dataverse, Power Platform, and Azure.

Responsibilities

• Build and enhance Dynamics 365 model‑driven apps and Power Pages portals, including payment integrations and automated document generation.
• Design, implement, and maintain Dataverse plugins (.NET 9/C#), Azure Functions, and REST API integrations.
• Operate Azure DevOps CI/CD (YAML pipelines), solution management, ALM, environment strategies, and disaster‑recovery plans.
• Conduct code reviews, testing, monitoring, and production incident troubleshooting (root cause, post‑mortems, guardrails).
• Collaborate with PMs, Business Analysts, and testers to refine requirements, improve UX, and prioritize roadmap items.

Ideal Candidate

• 3+ years software engineering experience with Dynamics 365 / Dataverse and Power Platform (Model‑driven apps, Power Pages/Power Apps, Power Automate).
• Strong .NET (C#), ideally .NET 8/9, building Dataverse plugins and Azure Functions; solid JavaScript for portal customization.
• Proficiency with Azure DevOps, Git, branching strategies, and CI/CD.
• Comfortable with Dataverse data modeling, FetchXML, LINQ, and performance tuning.
• Experience integrating payments, external REST APIs, and secure authentication (Entra ID/OAuth).
• Insurance/financial services domain experience is an asset.
• Secure development & compliance awareness (e.g., PCI for payments) is an asset.
• Bilingual French and English communication skills required for stakeholder interaction outside Quebec.
• Pragmatic approach to unit/integration testing, observability, and operational excellence.
• Clear communication with stakeholders; ability to translate business needs into reliable software.
