Job summary

Acuren is seeking an NDT UT Level 1 Technician - IRATA Rope Access to support projects locally in Sarnia, ON. IRATA Rope Access certification or willingness to obtain is required, and candidates must be local or willing to relocate.

Qualifications

  • CGSB UT Level 1 Certification required.
  • IRATA Rope Access certification or willingness to obtain.
  • Must have valid driver's license.
  • Strong work ethic and safety awareness.

Responsibilities

  • Perform ultrasonic testing (UT) inspections on piping, welds, vessels, and other industrial components.
  • Set up, calibrate, and operate ultrasonic testing equipment in accordance with approved procedures.
  • Identify, evaluate, and document indications, discontinuities, or defects.
  • Interpret inspection results and prepare accurate reports and documentation.
  • Ensure inspections meet applicable codes, standards, client requirements, and company procedures.
  • Maintain inspection equipment and ensure tools are in proper working condition.
  • Work safely in industrial environments while following all site and company safety requirements.
  • Communicate inspection findings clearly with supervisors, clients, and other team members.

Position Summary

Acuren is currently seeking NDT UT Level 1 Technician - IRATA Rope Access to support projects across our Central region. If you’re looking to work in a dynamic industrial environment with strong opportunities for growth and continuous learning, we’d like to hear from you.

  • Position is based locally in Sarnia ON.
  • IRATA Rope Access certification or willingness to obtain is required
  • Candidate must be local or willing to relocate
  • Salary range CA$42.05 to CA$45.02/hr depending on certifications as per the QCCC Agreement
