Job summary

Nortech Advanced NDT Ltd. seeks reliable NDT Radiography technicians to join the Fort St. John area on a full-time basis. Duties include setting up and calibrating nondestructive testing equipment and performing tests to detect defects in accordance with standards.

We value a safety-focused mindset, strong teamwork, and the ability to travel up to 20%. CGSB/CEDO training is optional as we provide training, with MT/PT/UT certs considered an asset.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent required.
• CGSB/CEDO certifications are an asset but training is available.
• Additional certification to MT/PT/UT is an asset.

Responsibilities

Nortech is seeking candidates to support fulltime work in the Fort St. John area. We are currently looking for NDT Radiography technician / EDO's

darkroom technicians

PRIMARY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

• Set up and calibrate nondestructive testing equipment
• Conduct tests to ensure quality or detect discontinuities (defects) using NDT methods of inspection
• Establish techniques for proper examination of objects under inspection, ensuring strict adherence to safety regulations
• Apply testing criteria in accordance with applicable specifications or standards and evaluate results
• Organize and report test results
• Perform specialized inspections
• May instruct and supervise others
• Perform other job related tasks as assigned by management

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE

CGSB / CEDO certifications would be an asset but not required as we are willing to train

• High School Diploma or equivalent
• Additional certification to MT, PT, or UT is an asset
• Technical background in NDT methods and procedures
• Demonstrated ability to effectively perform assigned NDT tasks and interpret results of inspections
• Knowledge of NDT equipment
