Department Overview

The Market Segment Strategy Group ("MSSG") supports the Commercial Banking Centres ("CBCs") on cash flow and other complex lending transactions in order to grow market share in the greater than $5 million loan segment.

Job Description

Reporting to the AVP, Market Segment Strategy this position is an advisory role that will support the CBCs and CNA in growing our market share in the Seniors Care industry. The individual will be the Business Bank's subject matter expert for the Seniors Care industry.

Key Responsibilities
  • Working collaboratively with the Commercial Credit Policy team and other key stakeholders including Commercial Credit Risk Management ("CCRM"), develop and maintain a lending strategy and policies/guidelines for the Seniors Care industry;
  • Working collaboratively with the CBCs, CNA and TDS develop a business development strategy and provide ongoing coverage of existing clients, prospects and COIs within the Seniors Care industry;
  • Provide portfolio management of the Seniors Care industry by understanding market trends and addressing with specific strategies to help grow the Bank's market share.
  • Monitor overall trends within their industry and impact on the Business Bank's portfolio providing regular updates to the field and CCRM.
  • Provide ongoing coaching & education, (both informal & formal) to CBC staff in order to increase knowledge, confidence and awareness of the Seniors Care industry and to maximize market share growth.
