The National Manager, Sales & Commercial Finance is responsible for the design, implementation and execution of the Commercial Finance strategy for BMW Group Financial Services Canada as well as steering of regional financial services functions. In this role you will be responsible for achieving all sales targets for SF2-CA, as well as the achievement of volume and margin targets for the Commercial Finance business line.

Key responsibilities include but not limited to:

  • Responsible for network development on all Commercial Finance topics and opportunities in the Canadian market.
  • Structure and price all CF transactions in accordance with Group and Local Risk Guidelines in collaboration with local, regional and global objectives.
  • Manage the Commercial Finance review process and ensure all credit reviews are current. Present SF2-CA reviews to Local Credit Committee when required.
  • Provide feedback on all Canadian CF credit reviews underwritten by Credit Analysts in the Regional Services Center prior to Credit Review Process.
  • Structure and price all CF transactions in accordance with Group and Local Risk Guidelines.
  • Identify and anticipate market development and competitor activities.
  • Monthly CF reporting and long-term CF business planning including forecasting activities.
  • Determining Canadian automotive Commercial & Retail finance needs in the development of new retailer products and services in line with international strategies.
  • Lead retailer relations, performance management & sales enablement to maximize contract penetration. Development, implementation and maintenance of sales processes and active involvement in selling BMW Group (BMW, MINI, Motorrad, RR) branded products & contracts in conjunction with the Area Sales Manager & applicable Retailer departments.
  • Providing recommendations and analysis for new business opportunities based on market conditions and competitive environment
  • Act as liaison between business management and Retailers / Customers; identifying potential gaps and recommending solutions. This includes steering of Area Sales Managers for Financial Services. Responsible for reporting KPI’s monthly for management review and discussion.
  • Presentations required for senior executives as required for business update and decision making.
Qualifications
  • University degree in Business (economics/finance/marketing)
  • 7+ year work experience in related field
  • 5+ years management experience.
  • Automotive (OEM) Financial Services an asset
  • Well-developed communication and interpersonal skills
  • Strong negotiation experience and stakeholder management.
  • Self-motivated, results driven and strong attention to detail
  • Demonstrated strong organizational and communication skills
  • Advanced Excel and PowerPoint skills, experience with Tableau would be considered an asset
