Your Role

We are seeking a National Lead – Indigenous to support and implement a robust strategy for culture and growth. As an established leader, you will be responsible for identifying relevant trends and opportunities for Colliers' growth in capital project delivery and advisory services for Indigenous communities and corporations. You will successfully operate in a matrix organizational structure to develop, direct, and lead in the execution of strategy to achieve desired cultural and business growth targets. You will bring your own personal and cultural values to help inform this role and provide leadership by bolstering our brand identity, authoring thought leadership, and speaking at conferences. You have an established and growing network of relationships with Elders, community leaders and key Indigenous organizations across Canada. Our approach goes beyond the project to the people – who are the heart of it all.

Responsibilities
  • Build a strong presence across Canada in capital project delivery and advisory services for Indigenous communities and corporations
  • Keep abreast of trends and challenges relevant to Colliers Project Leaders
  • Identify opportunities, key accounts and clients nationally and, in collaboration with business leaders, develop a plan to grow the sales pipeline
  • Support Business Units on priority pursuits with capture strategy, market‑specific input, guidance on relevant trends, challenges, and commercial strategy
  • Develop and own the growth strategy that aligns with the corporate strategy, including the development and execution of multi‑year plans
  • Lead and direct the development of the sales plan, with input from key stakeholders, to achieve the sales targets for the year
  • In collaboration with other business leaders, identify the required expertise and capacity to win and deliver projects nationally
  • People leader for the National Sector Indigenous team
  • Collaborate with colleagues, other business leaders and external partners with a strong orientation toward business growth. Clarify and anticipate trends and articulate how they affect clients, both internally and externally, developing approaches to address them
  • Establish a strong brand presence for Colliers Project Leaders through authoring thought leadership, featuring in video spotlights, speaking at events and conferences nationally, and in existing accounts
  • Identify regional and national participants for conferences and events
  • Acquire membership and actively participate in organizations, pursuing leadership positions where appropriate, that will help grow the business, increase market identity, and recruit the best talent
Qualifications
  • Demonstrated experience building and nurturing long‑term client relationships and working collaboratively with First Nations and Indigenous groups across Canada
  • A positive attitude and the ability to collaborate with regional teams
  • Proven experience as a leader (consultant or owner side) in capital project delivery and/or infrastructure advisory services for Indigenous communities or corporations
  • Experience in leading sales strategy and/or business growth
  • Clear understanding of a professional services business model, including resource management strategies, risk management strategies, and commercial strategies
  • Professional industry credentials relevant and specific to capital project delivery are a strong asset
  • Known industry player and leader across Indigenous communities nationally and well connected with key organizations and clients
  • An established network of contacts nationally and involvement with applicable industry and trade associations
  • Excellent verbal and written communication, facilitation, and presentation skills for all levels of our clients and our own organization
  • Effective leadership and organizational skills with the ability to successfully lead teams and company‑wide initiatives
  • Willingness to travel as required across Canada
