Lilly Canada is currently looking for a National Engagement Advisor (NEA) to support its objectives in Immunology, specifically across Dermatology, Gastroenterology, and Rheumatology. The NEA is a marketing, customer facing, field-based role, reporting into the Immunology Commercial Lead, and requires close collaboration with wider cross-functional team both in the office and the field. This role will have travel demands (up to 50%) across Canada to key locations and is field-based. Residents across Canada will be considered.

Strategic Intent: The intent for the NEA role is to reimagine our Thought Leader commercial strategy. This role will develop solutions that are meaningful for customers to improve patient outcomes, ensuring Lilly is a preferred partner in Lilly Immunology by being easy to work with, collaborative, and strategic in our engagement.

This role should allocate their time and focus in the following ways across TA’s: Dermatology: 50%; Gastroenterology: 30%; Rheumatology: 20%

The NEA role will need to be comfortable and effective leading both up and across the organization.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead the commercial team’s effort in building a national thought leader engagement strategy based on the overall brand strategy and commercial objectives
  • Reimagine how we engage thought leaders across Immunology working across functions and internal/field roles to build a new and more effective TL program.
  • Build a thought leader community across each therapeutic area within Immunology with the shared goal to improve patient outcomes.
  • Identify Thought Leaders for potential partnerships, collaborations and projects, including but not limited to Advisory Boards/consultancies, speaker training, in collaboration with Medical and other cross-functional partners
  • Identify opportunities to partner with thought leaders on relevant local, regional or national projects aligned to improving patient outcomes.
  • Acquires and maintains expert knowledge in Immunology, product, competitors and appropriate patient.
  • Continuously monitors external factors (e.g. National, regional & local health care environment, stakeholder network, disease state development etc.) and incorporates relevant information into future Thought Leader interactions and business plans.
  • Liaising with global and IBU, as appropriate, for high priority events and congresses.
  • Drive improvement on NPS scores for Lilly in Immunology with a focus on becoming a Top 3 Immunology company. Improving critical inputs such as, being easy to work with, collaborative, responsive, and agile to customer needs.
  • Owns and maintains the brand endorsement tracker.
  • Follows internal and external ethical and legal guidelines and adheres to all company compliance policies; promotes on-label use of Lilly Brands
Qualifications
  • Experience in Immunology across TA’s: Dermatology, Rheumatology, and Gastroenterology
  • Extensive experience connecting with TL’s including conflict resolution and shared appropriate partnerships
  • Superior ability to navigate and successfully implement complex projects through coordination of processes with internal stakeholders and external partners
  • Strong business acumen and results orientation with a high degree of initiative and follow through
  • Experience defining strategies for brands while pairing a sound strategy with exceptional execution
  • Strong problem-solving skills; able to recognize problems before they become serious and take corrective action
  • Outstanding positive work attitude, open to change and finds joy in new challenges
  • Experience partnering across commercial, medical, and PRA roles – both internal and customer facing.
  • Undergraduate/graduate Degree in Pharmacy, Life Sciences, Business Administration, Marketing or other relevant fields.
  • Minimum 5 years of industry experience (immunology strongly preferred) with demonstrated leadership and customer facing results as well as experience working with thought leaders.
