Job summary

National Bank is seeking a National Director, Insurance Advisor Practice Development to guide performance and professional practice across NBIS and NBIF. You will mentor advisors from junior to senior levels, shaping standards and accelerating growth nationwide.

Hybrid work within Canada, flexible scheduling, and a focus on developing coaching programmes, tools, and processes to enhance sales capacity, client segmentation, and advisor success.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a relevant field and a minimum of 8 years’ experience in insurance, financial services, and business development.
• Significant experience in coaching, skills development, and supporting professionals at various career stages.
• Strong understanding of performance drivers and life insurance sale cycle; knowledge of regulatory framework.

Responsibilities

• Support financial security advisors in developing every aspect of their practice by conducting assessments, creating action plans, and providing structured follow-up.
• Influence professional behaviours through personalized coaching for diverse advisor profiles and business contexts.
• Design and implement development programs, practice standards, tools, and guides to promote best practices across the network.
• Improve conversion of banking referrals by supporting pipeline management and quality of sales execution.
• Analyze performance metrics, identify gaps, and recommend targeted interventions to drive productivity.
• Collaborate with internal partners to enhance processes, tools, and the bancassurance distribution model.
