Job summary

CarePartners seeks Personal Support Workers (PSWs) to help patients in home and community care settings in the Smith Falls, ON area. You will assist with daily living activities, provide personal care, and support independence under supervision of the Personal Support Manager.

We offer competitive wages from $20.96 to $23.20 per hour, a $750 signing bonus, paid mileage at 0.45 per km plus travel time, orientation and mentoring, benefits, and flexible hours across various assignments.

Qualifications

• Valid driver’s license (G or G2) and access to a reliable vehicle
• Valid PSW certificate or enrollment in a Nursing program
• Current vulnerable sector check screening

What The Role Involves

• Assisting with daily living activities, such as personal care (rise and retire), assistance with household tasks, respite care, medication assistance, special functions
• Promoting a safe environment by demonstrating proper body mechanics, safe transfer techniques, and home safety
• Providing cognitive, social and/or emotional support to the patient
• Preparing nutritious, varied and economical meals and snacks, including special diets, as determined by the care plan, using proper food preparation, storage, and hygiene practices.

• A valid driver’s license (G or G2 Classification), access to a reliable vehicle, and proof of automobile insurance
• Valid certificate as a Personal Support Worker, Internationally Trained Nurse, Health Care Aid, Developmental Support Worker, Home Support Worker, or enrollment in a Nursing program
• To protect our patients, we require current vulnerable sector check screening, a clear background check
