Medicine Hat Public School Division is seeking one (1) Permanent Full-Time, 12-month Success Coach to continue the work of our MyPlace program. The Mental Health Capacity Building Programs are grant-funded through Recovery Alberta to provide school-based addiction and mental health promotion and prevention for children, youth, and families. As part of a school and program-based team, the successful candidate will develop and deliver developmentally appropriate, evidence and research‑based programming for teens that aligns with the program's mandate and the school's needs.
Success Coaches play a crucial role in building capacity within the school and the wider community by increasing awareness and enhancing skills related to optimal mental health. They achieve this by facilitating meaningful discussions, delivering informative workshops, and providing resource materials that empower all members of the school community to prioritize and maintain their mental well‑being. Success Coaches contribute to fostering a nurturing and mentally healthy environment for students, staff, and the broader community.
