Qualifications

Overview

TELUS Health MyCare is seeking a passionate Gynecologist: Menopause Clinic Lead interested in building the foundation of an innovative menopause program. The program will encompass perimenopause and beyond that will help bridge the critical healthcare gap facing millions of Canadian women. As the Gynecologist: Menopause Clinic Lead you will have the opportunity to improve access to individualized, evidence based women’s healthcare by helping create wrap around care spanning medical, allied health support, supportive communities and more.

Status: Contractor

Hours: 4-6 hours per week

Compensation: Competitive based on experience

Responsibilities
  • Oversee a team of clinicians that will provide exceptional, individualized care to women seeking menopause care
  • Be instrumental in the development and evolution of the program
  • Create and oversee clinical protocols; ensuring we deliver safe, effective, evidence-based care
  • Be an expert resource for clinicians, offering guidance with challenging cases
  • Be the spokesperson and champion of our menopause care team in marketing and other outreach events
  • Help design and curate educational content for our patients

You’re the missing piece of the puzzle
  • Certified with the Menopause Society/NAMS for at least 2 years
  • Gynecologist or Family Physician with at least 5 years of experience in providing menopause care
  • Licensure with the College of Physicians and Surgeons of British Columbia (CPSBC) or College of Physicians and Surgeons of Ontario (CPSO)
  • Active membership coverage with the Canadian Medical Protective Association (CMPA)
  • Experience in leading a team, conducting quality assurance and being a creative thinker who can provide ideas and solutions to optimize menopause care for women
  • Be able to commit minimum of 4-6 hours per week
  • Curious, collaborative, and always learning, loves to stay up to date with the current medical literature on women’s health
  • A warm, approachable communicator who empowers clinicians to provide exemplary care to patients
