Qualifications

• Bachelor of Education and NL teaching certificate or eligibility.
• A practical teaching qualification with licensure required.
• Experience in primary/elementary settings; practicum for new grads advantageous.
• Experience in northern, rural, or Indigenous communities preferred.

Responsibilities

• Deliver engaging, inclusive instruction aligned to provincial standards.
• Integrate Innu history, culture, and land-based learning.
• Maintain a positive, safe classroom and support social-emotional development.
• Assess progress with formative/summative methods and keep records.
• Collaborate with parents, teachers, and community members on IEPs.
