A natural park organization is seeking Seasonal Museum Technicians to work at Algonquin Park Visitor Centre and Logging Museum. Job description

The Friends of Algonquin Park is seeking qualified individuals to work as Seasonal Museum Technicians at the Algonquin Park Visitor Centre and Algonquin Logging Museum in Algonquin Park.

This employment opportunity is from June until Labour Day, with a possibility of extension until the end of October 2026.

The rate of pay is $17.75/hour based on 40 hours/week, including weekends and statutory holidays as per schedule.

Staff house accommodations may be available to qualified candidates.

Duties
  • Acting as an ambassador for Algonquin Park
  • Providing information on the Park’s cultural and natural history, as well as Park operations and facilities, at both the Algonquin Visitor Centre and Algonquin Logging Museum
  • Processing bookstore sales and subsequent stocking preparations
  • Balancing sales remits and cash floats at end of each shift
  • Opening and closing of either interpretive facility and maintaining exhibits and theatre operation daily
  • Assisting with Algonquin Park’s special interpretive events as required

Work Location
  • This in-office position will be based out of the Algonquin Park Visitor Centre or the Algonquin Logging Museum, as per a schedule.
Remuneration
  • The rate of pay is $17.75/hour based on 40 hours/week, including weekends and statutory holidays as per schedule.
