Job summary

Jobility Talent Solutions is seeking an experienced Murex Developer / Techno-Functional Engineer to support and enhance Murex-based Capital Markets applications in Toronto. The role involves development, production support, integration, reporting, troubleshooting and enhancement across DEV, SIT, UAT and Production environments.

The ideal candidate has hands-on Murex experience, MxML workflows, and strong knowledge of Back Office processes.

Qualifications

• Hands-on experience with Murex and MxML workflows.
• Strong knowledge of Murex 3.x across DEV/SIT/UAT/Production.
• Experience in production support, troubleshooting, and root cause analysis.
• Familiarity with Capital Markets products including Fixed Income, FX, Derivatives, Bonds or Equities.

Responsibilities

• Develop and enhance Murex applications, workflows, interfaces, and integrations.
• Work with MxML workflows and Murex integration components.
• Provide L1/L2 technical and functional support for Murex applications.
• Monitor daily system activities and End-of-Day processing.
• Troubleshoot production issues and implement permanent fixes.
• Develop Murex Datamart reports for Front/Middle/Back Office, Risk, and regulatory needs.
• Create and maintain SQL queries and report tables for ad-hoc and EOD reporting.
• Drive STP improvements and reduce manual post-trade intervention.
• Perform functional and unit testing and support UAT for new implementations.
• Develop Unix shell scripts for monitoring, automation, and support.
• Collaborate with technical, functional, QA, and business teams to deliver scalable Murex solutions.

Job Overview

We are looking for an experienced Murex Developer / Techno-Functional Engineer to support and enhance Murex-based Capital Markets and Investment Banking applications.

The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience with Murex, MxML, Datamart, Back Office (BO), Unix/Shell scripting, SQL, and system integration. The role will involve development, production support, integration, reporting, troubleshooting, and enhancement of Murex applications across different environments.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and enhance Murex applications, workflows, interfaces, and integrations.
• Work extensively with MxML workflows and Murex integration components.
• Support Murex 3.x applications across DEV, SIT, UAT, and Production environments.
• Provide L1/L2 technical and functional support for Murex applications.
• Monitor daily system activities, batch processes, and End-of-Day (EOD) processing.
• Troubleshoot production issues, perform root cause analysis, and implement permanent fixes.
• Develop and maintain Murex Datamart reports for Front Office, Middle Office, Back Office, Risk, and regulatory reporting requirements.
• Create and maintain report tables and SQL queries for ad-hoc and EOD reporting.
• Drive Straight-Through Processing (STP) improvements and reduce manual intervention in post-trade processes.
• Perform functional testing, unit testing, and support UAT activities for new Murex implementations and enhancements.
• Develop and maintain Unix Shell scripts for monitoring, automation, and system support.
• Collaborate with technical, functional, QA, and business teams to deliver scalable Murex solutions.
• Support environment and infrastructure-related activities to maintain stable Murex operations.

Required Skills
