Job summary

The Municipality of North Cowichan is seeking a technically strong, solutions-oriented Professional Engineer to lead the Engineering (Utilities) team. Reporting to the Senior Manager, Engineering (Utilities), the Manager will plan and deliver water and sanitary infrastructure projects and related services.

You will oversee asset management decisions, capital cost estimates, and coordinate with Operations and Infrastructure Design to ensure reliable municipal services.

Qualifications

• Grade 10 or an equivalent combination of education, training and experience.
• Ability to communicate effectively, both verbally and in writing.
• Ability to deal with wide range of municipal engineering inquiries and service requests.

Responsibilities

• Plan and deliver water and sanitary infrastructure projects.
• Support asset management, capital cost estimates and resilience planning.
• Provide leadership to staff and ensure infrastructure investments are informed by sound engineering analysis.
