Job description

Flagstaff County is seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Municipal Services Coordinator – Agriculture & Parks to join our Municipal Services team for an 18-month maternity leave term beginning in January 2026.

Reporting to the Agricultural Fieldman, this position provides administrative and project coordination support for the planning, development, and delivery of agricultural and recreational parks programs and services.

Key Responsibilities
  • Support the planning, budgeting, and reporting of agriculture and recreational parks projects and programs.
  • Monitor and analyze expenditures, prepare financial and year-end reports, and assist with grant applications and policy updates.
  • Coordinate Agricultural Service Board meetings, including agenda preparation, minute-taking, and follow-up.
  • Prepare and maintain contracts, agreements, and leases in compliance with County policies and legislation.
  • Respond to public inquiries and maintain positive relationships with staff, contractors, and community members.
Requirements
  • Post-secondary education in business, accounting, or a related field (minimum two years) or equivalent experience.
  • 3–5 years of related experience or experience in a senior administrative position, preferably in a municipal environment.
  • Strong communication, organizational, and analytical skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.
  • Knowledge of local government operations and agricultural legislation considered an asset.
  • Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships in the course of work, including the ability to work cooperatively in a team environment as well as independently.
  • Ability to perform a variety of tasks and prioritize the use of time to meet deadlines.
