Acadia Broadcasting is a growing media company with 16 radio stations in Atlantic Canada and Northwestern Ontario. In each of our markets, our company focuses on being the community’s local voice for news, entertainment, and events.

We have an exciting full-time opportunity for a Multimedia News Anchor / Reporter to join our news team. The successful candidate would have the option to work out of our Moncton, NB locations. We are looking for someone who is passionate about storytelling, with a diverse set of digital and broadcast journalism skills.

Here’s What You Will Be Doing
  • Generating minimum three stories per day for broadcast and web
  • Ability to create newscasts for multiple markets, record, edit and dispatch in a timely manner
  • Continuously seeking multimedia storytelling opportunities, while covering events that will enhance our coverage and content across all platforms
  • Shifts will be Monday to Friday but hours may fluctuate based on assignments including evenings and weekends.
  • Will be part of a rotational weekend on-call schedule
Here’s What We Are Looking For
  • A Journalism or Digital Media diploma, or equivalent relevant experience
  • Curiosity and critical thinking skills
  • Basics of interviewing, writing, and editing for radio and web
  • Ability to develop relationships in the community with newsmakers.
  • A self-starter who can be flexible and adapt to changing priorities on the fly, including breaking news
  • Knowledge and experience with industry software including Burli an asset
  • A valid driver’s license.
