Position Overview
The Multi-Skilled Technician will support daily maintenance and repair operations within a controlled, secure, and air-conditioned manufacturing environment at my client’s facility. This role is hands-on and ideal for someone mechanically inclined who enjoys variety in their workday — from repairing fences and ventilators to performing general plant maintenance and mechanical adjustments.
The technician will join an established onsite team with my client, supporting smooth plant operations across a 900,000 sq. ft. facility situated on 500 acres.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform routine maintenance and mechanical repairs across facility equipment and systems.
- Troubleshoot and repair mechanical components such as motors, belts, fans, and ventilators.
- Support infrastructure upkeep, including minor structural and mechanical tasks (e.g., fencing, equipment adjustments).
- Maintain tools, materials, and safety compliance within a clean, secure work environment.
- Collaborate with specialized teams (HVAC, electrical) when necessary to ensure seamless plant operations.
Must-Have Skills
- Proven mechanical experience in an industrial or facilities setting.
- Valid driver’s license (site not accessible by public transport).
- Strong hands-on mechanical aptitude and ability to work independently on varied maintenance tasks.
- Basic computer skills for work order tracking and reporting.
- French fluency required; bilingual (English/French) strongly preferred.
Nice-to-Have Skills
- Electromechanics background (Québec-specific training or degree preferred).
- Welding experience considered an asset.
- Experience in a manufacturing or clean-room environment.
