About the job MTC Student Ministry Pastor

We are a multi-site church community located in SE Calgary. Our mission is to lead people into a growing relationship with Jesus! We are adding to our team and are looking for a Student Ministry Pastor to help serve our growing community. This is a full-time role but we are open to discussing a strategic plan of having multiple part-time roles depending on gifting and availability. We deeply care about our staff team and want our team to enjoy serving together as we point others towards Jesus. Here are some ways we try to create a healthy staff culture:

The Location

Calgary is a beautiful & entrepreneurial city with easy access to the mountains. McKenzie Towne is a highly populated area in the SE corner of Calgary. We love our community. MTC is located in a visible spot within McKenzie Towne. You can walk to coffee shops and local restaurants from our church's doorstep. Our church is primarily made up of people from the immediate surrounding area, which means most people live within a reasonable distance from the church.

Your Role

The focus of this position is to provide hands-on leadership, oversight and direction for Student ministries at MTC.

Leadership Development, Student Discipleship and Ministry

• The Student Ministry Pastor's primary role is to provide direct oversight and leadership for the growth and development of all student ministry areas. (Grade 5/6, and grades 7-12).

Administration and Planning

• Provide administrative oversight for all student ministry events and programs.

General Ministry Support

• Be an active, supportive, and healthy team member of the primary ministry team at MTC

• A deep passion, experience, and proficiency in team building
• Strong competencies in leadership, communication, collaboration, and shepherding
• Bachelors Degree an asset but not a requirement
