Job summary

Alberta Health Services' Foothills Medical Centre in Calgary is seeking an MRI Technologist I to produce and record high-quality MRI images for radiologist interpretation and to keep patients safe and comfortable throughout the scanning process.

You will work all shifts, including on-call, and may rotate through Arthur Child Comprehensive Cancer Center. The role requires CAMRT registration, a relevant MRI diploma, BCLS-HCP, and strong English communication.

Qualifications

• Completion of diploma from an accredited MRI program or certificate plus diploma in a related radiology/therapeutic field.
• Active or eligible CAMRT registration for MRI.
• Current BCLS‑Healthcare Provider (HCP).

Responsibilities

• Produce and record high-quality MRI images for interpretation by Radiologist or Cardiologist.
• Prepare and position patients, review history, explain procedures, and address patient needs during scanning.
• Maintain MRI equipment and ensure safety and infection control.
• Work across shifts and on-call, with rotation through multiple areas as assigned.
