Job description

We are seeking dedicated and organized Event Coordinators to help plan and execute one of our Move to Cure ALS events that happen around the province. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys teamwork, logistics, and creating meaningful experiences for participants. With strong support from the Event Coordinator at ALS BC, the work will involve planning, organizing, and coordinating a dedicated group of volunteers who will create an engaging event for new and past participants. Although the society can provide and suggest a guideline for the event, we welcome those who bring fresh ideas and creativity that will elevate an already popular event. In the past, we have had Walks happen in communities all over BC, however, we'd love to hear your new ideas about ways we can Move to spread awareness across the province. Why should you volunteer for this opportunity?

Volunteers can enjoy the benefits of making new friends, learning new skills, improving social and relationship skills, networking, and making more business connections. Volunteers will gain credibility as leaders through a widely known and connected registered charity. Coordinating a Move to Cure ALS event will allow them to give back to their community. Volunteers are acknowledged and recognized at the Annual ALS BC Volunteer Awards and through local media.
