Job summary

Muskoka Lumber and Building Supplies Centre in Port Carling is seeking a Moulder Operator for a full-time, permanent role. The position offers a 7:30 am to 5:00 pm schedule (45 hours/week) in a dedicated wood-profile production environment.

Responsibilities include full moulder setups, producing and grading finished wood, quality checks, and equipment maintenance. Forklift certification is a plus. Wages range from $23 to $30 per hour, with benefits and opportunities for growth.

Qualifications

  • Proven experience as a Moulder Operator or in a similar industrial milling/manufacturing environment.
  • Strong technical aptitude with ability to use measuring devices accurately.
  • Excellent attention to detail under production deadlines with safety mindset.
  • Clear communication and ability to follow complex instructions.
  • Dependable, organized, punctual, and good at independent or team work.

  • Operate the moulder safely with attention to detail throughout the production run.

  • Maintain and clean machinery and parts to prevent debris buildup.
  • Troubleshoot machine issues and schedule maintenance as needed.
  • Keep a clean and safe work area at all times.
  • Comply with safety procedures and protocols.

Key Responsibilities

As a Moulder Operator, you will be responsible for the safe and efficient production of high‑quality wood profiles. In this role, you will:

  • Perform full moulder setups and changeovers, including loading heads and adjusting the machine for a variety of different profiles
  • Produce and grade finished wood products to ensure every piece meets company quality standards
  • Operate the moulder safely and expediently while maintaining precise attention to detail throughout the production run
  • Follow established procedures in the execution of all daily tasks to maintain consistency and workflow
  • Conduct regular visual and measurement quality checks using specialized devices to ensure product accuracy
  • Maintain and clean machinery and parts during the production process to prevent debris buildup and ensure machine longevity
  • Troubleshoot machine issues to identify and fix problems, performing necessary routine maintenance or scheduling professional service as required
  • Maintain a clean and safe work area at all times to minimize hazards and support a productive environment
  • Comply with all safety procedures and protocols to ensure a secure workplace for yourself and your teammates

  • Ability to work effectively both independently and as a collaborative member within a team environment
  • Forklift certification (experience is an asset; training available)
