The Motor Coach Operator will be responsible for transporting passengers safely and efficiently to their destinations while providing excellent customer service. The Motor Coach Operator must possess a valid Class B or C commercial driver’s license, with airbrake endorsement (Z), and comply with all applicable regulations and safety standards.
Responsibilities
- Safely operate and drive a motor coach to transport passengers on assigned routes and according to scheduled timeframes.
- Ensure the safety and comfort of passengers during trips by adhering to traffic rules, speed limits, and other road regulations.
- Provide excellent customer service to passengers, assisting with loading and unloading luggage, answering inquiries, and addressing any concerns or issues.
- Follow designated routes and make scheduled stops, ensuring timely arrivals and departures at designated locations.
- Perform pre‑trip and post‑trip inspections of the motor coach, including checking brakes, lights, mirrors, and other essential components to ensure proper maintenance and safe operation.
- Maintain accurate records such as mileage logs, fuel consumption, and daily trip reports.
- Adhere to all company policies and procedures, including maintaining a professional appearance and demeanor.
- Assist in maintaining a clean and orderly motor coach by conducting basic cleaning tasks and ensuring proper disposal of waste.
- Attend required trainings and meetings to stay updated on driving regulations, safety protocols, and changes to routes or schedules.
- Handle any emergencies or incidents that may arise during trips, such as mechanical issues, accidents, or passenger disputes, following proper protocols for reporting and resolving such situations.
- Comply with all relevant federal, provincial, and local laws, regulations, and policies, including those related to passenger transportation, driver hours of service, and vehicle inspections.

Qualifications
- Possess clean driver’s abstract
- Be knowledgeable of Ontario highways and cities
- Be able to work shift and irregular hours, nights, weekends, and holidays
- Valid Class BZ or CZ driver’s license
- Bus driving experience is an asset
- Must be willing to work weekends & holidays
- Safely operate and drive a motor coach to transport passengers on assigned routes and according to scheduled timeframes
- Maintain accurate records such as mileage logs, fuel consumption, and daily trip reports
- Be able to pass a pre‑employment drug and alcohol test and random drug tests as required
