Alan Milne Elgin is recruiting an MOT Tester and Service Technician to join its Aftersales team at its Elgin site, supporting servicing, maintenance, and MOT testing across a modern range of vehicles.
Alan Milne Elgin is Moray’s main Peugeot franchise and an authorised repairer for Citroën, both part of the Stellantis Group, offering technicians the opportunity to work with current and emerging vehicle technologies including hybrid and electric models.
As MOT Tester and Service Technician, you will carry out MOT testing alongside routine servicing, maintenance, and repair work, ensuring vehicles are repaired right first time and to the highest standards.
You will work with manufacturer technical platforms to diagnose faults, provide feedback, and support effective resolutions, while maintaining a clean, safe, and organised workshop environment.
The role includes ongoing development of technical knowledge, particularly in EV and hybrid technologies, and leading by example through good working practices and professionalism within the workshop.
This is a full time, permanent role working 39 hours per week.
The working pattern is Monday to Friday, with no weekend working.
The role is based at Alan Milne Elgin, 4 Linkwood Place, Elgin, IV30 1HZ.
Applicants must hold a recognised NVQ level qualification in Motor Vehicle Technology, such as IMI or City and Guilds, along with a valid MOT Tester qualification.
Strong diagnostic and problem solving skills are essential, along with a professional approach to quality and customer care.
A/C qualification, franchise experience, and EV or hybrid training are desirable but not essential, as further training and development can be provided.
This role would suit someone with a genuine interest in developing their skills and sharing knowledge within a technical team.
The salary for this role is £35,000 to £45,000 per year, depending on experience, with a competitive bonus scheme.
The role includes 28 days annual leave, an employer pension scheme, on site parking, and access to Stellantis Academy training and development facilities.
