CBC/Radio-Canada is seeking a Researcher for Daybreak Montreal (English Services) to support our morning show. The role requires English and French language skills and a strong connection to Montreal's English-speaking communities.

Expect collaborative work, field reporting, and live contributions to a fast-paced program. The position is a one-year replacement contract starting January 2027, based in Montreal, with opportunities to contribute across platforms and reach diverse audiences.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or the equivalent.
• Two years of work experience.

Responsabilités

• Attend story meetings and pitch interviews for the host.
• Research and book interviews, prepare scripts and background information for the producer and host.
• Fact-check information and suggest innovative interview approaches.
• Post interviews on CBC platforms and maintain a network of Montreal contacts.
• Go out in the field for interviews and live reports when needed.
• Work Monday–Friday 9:30 am–5:30 pm in the Daybreak unit, Montreal.
