Job summary

QUANTEAM (RAINBOW PARTNERS Group) in Montreal is seeking a Network Engineer to join one of our client’s teams, a major corporate investment bank.

You will operate and support network security infrastructure (firewalls, VPNs, proxies), lead security projects from inception to completion, and manage switching and VPN infrastructure.

The role requires CCNP/CCIE, vendor expertise (Palo Alto, Fortinet, Check Point), CISSP or equivalent, and bilingual English/French; 5+ years of experience is preferred.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience in network and network security engineering.
• CCNP or CCIE (Security or Enterprise) is required.
• Vendor certifications for Palo Alto, Fortinet, or Check Point.
• CISSP or equivalent security certification.
• Bilingual English/French preferred.

Responsibilities

• Lead and deliver network security projects from inception to completion.

Missions & Responsibilities

• Operate and support network security infrastructure, including firewalls, web proxies (McAfee, Blue Coat), VPN gateways, and load balancers.
• Lead and deliver network security projects from inception to completion.
• Switching and VPN infrastructure management.
• On-call support: Participate in a regular rotation (7 days a month) in standby mode.

Profile Requirements

• Certifications: CCNP or CCIE (Security or Enterprise) is required.
• Vendor Expertise: Proficiency with Palo Alto, Fortinet, or Check Point, supported by relevant certifications.
• Security Standards: CISSP or an equivalent security certification.
• Language: Bilingualism in English and French is preferred.

Nice to Have

• Education: Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or Network Engineering.
• Experience: 5+ years of experience in network and network security engineering, including operational support and project delivery.
• Automation: Basic scripting skills in Bash or Python.
• Process: IT service management certifications such as ITIL.
