Job description

On behalf of our client, Grand River Personnel is recruiting for an Injection Mold Set-up Technician.

This is a full-time position. We thank all those who may apply but only those in consideration will be contacted. This position is not open to students.

Pay Rate: $23 – $29/hr (dependent on experience)+ 4% vacation pay added to each cheque weekly!

Responsibilities
  • Capable of testing all machine and tooling safeties, hydraulic, electrical and pneumatic functions
  • Capable of starting up “BASIC” equipment adhering to pre-established processing parameters
  • Set up of tooling in machinery including auxiliary equipment, safely and efficiently
  • Set-up and safe operations of injection molding machinery
  • Spraying parts, clearing lines, safe removal of tools from machines
  • Setting up machinery for production orders
  • Communicate with material handlers to control the operations flow
  • Producing first off parts for Quality Control Approval
  • Participate in development and maintenance of 6S program
  • Experience with Lift Truck, Overhead Crane
Requirements
  • Must have basic knowledge of various types of resins and associated materials
  • Must have advanced understanding of machine functions and how process changes affect quality and productivity
  • Ability to utilize and interpret inspection gauges and equipment
  • Proficient with measuring tools (Vernier Calipers, gauges)
  • Strong attention to detail and quality controlMaintain efficiency as given by ManagementExperience with above noted responsibilities and a Forklift License is an assetCSA Approved footwearReliable, punctual and dependableAble to communicate effectively
