WHAT YOU WILL DO :

• High-visibility patrol of assigned areas, on foot and in company vehicles
• Ensure the security of all personnel, visitors, and the general public
• Respond against theft, trespassing, vandalism, and fire
• Monitor property access control
• Investigate and report suspicious behavior, incidents, and security breaches
• Enforce client informed policies
• Communicate with law enforcement, emergency medical personnel, and fire departments
• Respond to and investigate alarms, ensuring properties are secure and in order before departing

We Schedule Shifts According to Following Availability Needs :

• Full time : able to work 32 to 40 hours per week
• Shifts : Morning, Afternoon and Night - 12-hour shifts
• Mobile patrol team works out of the main operations office in BURNABY , which is accessible by transit
• Parking provided at Head Office for successful candidate

YOU ARE A GREAT FIT IF YOU :

• Hold a valid BC Security License
• Have a valid Class 4 or 5 Driver's License, with a clean driver's abstract (NO previous suspensions and / or prohibitions)
• Strong knowledge of Road Safety
• Relevant security experience
• Relevant experience in the security or customer service industry
• Excellent customer service & professional deportment
• High standard for safety & a passion for security
• Excellent documentation and communication skills
• Enjoy working as part of a team, but able to work independently without supervision
• Additional certifications are an asset : Occupational First Aid Level 1, 2, 3, AST, Etc.
• Selected applicants will be required to show an ICBC driver's abstract on the day of the in-person interview. Failure to provide this and Class 4 or 5 driver's license will result in immediate disqualification.

Please note that security officers may be required to work extended hours and be part of an on-call urgent scheduling needs.
